UPDATED 13:19 IST Woman gang-raped in Punjab close on the heels of a teenage girl dying in Moga after being molested and thrown off a moving bus, a case of alleged gang-rape of a young woman has been reported from the district. The woman, in her complaint, has alleged that she was abducted and raped by a family friend and his accomplices at a deserted place in the district on Thursday.Police sources said they were looking into the complaint and action has been initiated to nab the culprits. Further details are awaited, they said. SSP Moga JS Khaira could not be reached despite repeated attempts. Notably, a woman and her teenage daughter were allegedly molested and thrown off a moving bus last evening, leaving the girl dead and mother seriously wounded. The shocking incident occurred last evening close to Gill village on Moga-Kotkapura road, about 10 km fromMoga district headquarters, and four persons including the driver, cleaner andconductor of the bus were arrested today, police said.The woman was travelling with her daughter and son in the nearly empty bus from Moga to Baghapurana when the accused began molesting them, ignoring desperate pleas to let them go.Her 10-year-old son watched the whole drama unfold before him in horror and the stunned youngster was later handed over to the family by police.The 38-year-old woman and her daughter were rushed to Moga civil hospital where the girl was declared brought dead.
